EWHAL and Philadelphia Community presents Lashion HaQodash – A Set Apart Language – עברית – Ubriyt Course.
The Lashion HaQodash “Sacred Language” Course (עברית – Ubriyt) will be a course in which participants will learn to know the pronunciations of the language as close as possible to the original; both in Aramaic letter script (Ketav Ashuri) and in Paleo (Proto-Canaanite). During this course, the participants learn to read, write and speak the Aleph and Bet: the meaning of the letters, scriptural reading, Hebrew way of thinking and critical-analytical reading.
The course will be broken down into three parts:
- Scriptual Ubriyt
- Paleo Ubriyt (coming soon!)
- Ubriyt thinking (coming soon!)
The Tanakh is written in Aramaic blockscript with Niqqud (a system of diacritic marks), whereby the classical pronunciation has been lost. In the course we will look at the letters without the Niqqud; how to read, write, pronounce and the deeper meaning of the letters, words, sentences and context. After the Aramaic letter script we will study the Paleo (ancient); the pictographic. With the UbriYt thinking block, we will read scripturally using critical-analytical thinking, logic, fallacies and Hebraic thinking.
The course will commence January Sunday 12th 2025 at 7pm GMT/UK; 8pm Holland & Germany; 2pm EST; 1pm CST; 12pm PT. This course is based on a minimal monthly re-occurring fee of £40.00 for the duration of the LIVE tutoring.
