Suffering is never purposeless and it’s part of the narrow path. Suffering produces steadfastness. Steadfastness is the power to withstand hardship and stress. It’s the ability to endure trials and to stand under those trials with inward fortitude and strength. It produces faith.
How do you acquire faith? By practice. The way to become steadfast is by prevailing.
