Lashion HaQodash – Level 4: Hebrew Grammar
This course aims at learning to read, understand, and interpret ancient Hebrew as found prior to the Masoretic diacritical marks (niqudot). This leads to a true interpretation of words and sentences based on context, rather than predetermined human interpretation by an anti-Messiah group called the Masoretes.
The LIVE COURSE will commence on Sunday, 7th June, 2026 at 6pm (GMT/UK); 7pm (Holland & Germany); 1pm (EST) and is due to continue for 6 months.
COURSE CONTENT
The division and arrangement of Hebrew grammar follow the three constituent parts of every language, namely:
- To articulate sounds represented by letters, and united to form syllables,
- words (etymology)
- sentences (syntax and the arrangement of words)
The course will be interactive, including plenty of practice focused on vocabulary, reading, and understanding and applying the knowledge of what has been taught to date. The main anchor of grammar will be based on Wilhelm Gesenius’ “Hebräische Grammatik” (Leipzig 1862), however, excluding the Masoretic grammar.
Although this course is Part 4 of the EWHAL study program, which began in January 2025, you are most welcome to join if you are an absolute beginner to Biblical Hebrew. WHAT DOES THE COURSE LOOK LIKE ?
The context of this course is the Scriptures. All vocabulary, examples and exercises are based on Scriptures. This is not a Modern Hebrew course.
Each Section will include: Grammar Vocabulary Reading, understanding and interpretation. You will learn at least one verse per session, starting with the first session. The course includes a lot of exercises, questions and crossword puzzles. (Answers of which are in the back of the booklet).
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS TO ENTER THE COURSE ?
Although this course is Part III of the EWHAL study programme, which began in January 2025, you are most welcome to join if you are an absolute beginner to and have no prior knowledge of Biblical Hebrew.
This is not a University Level course, nor are University Entry Level qualifications required. This is 2Ti 2:15 Level, where is stated: “Study to show yourself approved unto Elohiym, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” So we will study to show ourselves approved unto Yahuah and work at rightly dividing the Word of Truth. This infers a spiritual reward for the work we do.
We will allow Yahuah to determine the expectations and performance. We will allow Yahuah to restore in these end times to us a pure language as foretold by the Prophet Tsupunyah in chapter 3:9 “For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Yahuah, to serve him with one consent.”
WHAT MATERIALS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE ?
You will receive a booklet and where required, additional material for each Session. In addition, the following books and tools are recommended:
A Biblical Hebrew – English Lexicon or Dictionary -Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible
At a later stage you may want to invest in – The Brown Diver Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon – Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible- Jeff Benner
Hebrew Scriptures of the Tanach (Old Testament) – Strong’s The Interlinear Bible – Hebrew Greek English by J P Green

I am very excited to host this particular course. Our fourth module under the exhilarating & in-depth instruction of Christian Zhang. We follow the learning format found in language schools, introducing the sounds associated with individual letters and vowels. These live sessions are a deep dive into sentence structure, basic vocabulary, and Hebrew reading practice. These lessons are engaging and demonstrate how grasping the Hebrew Aleph Bet serves as a pathway to growing closer to Yahuah, radiating the profound wisdom within the depth of the Hebrew letters.
The course is practical. It requires active participation that has been devised with the student in mind. The class will meet weekly via video call to read, practice pronunciation and writing, and to pray for each other. There will also be digital worksheets and resources to download for each lesson.
The heart of EWHAL is to empower students, not only to learn the Aleph Bet, but to grasp its spiritual power and apply it to our journey with the Most High Yahuah.
