Today, 5 February 2024 marks four months since this wonderful man, my husband, father to our children and a gifted man of scripture, Co-Fonder of EWHAL passed away October 5th 2023. No words to comprehend how he has not entered into 2024 with us.
Even up to his final months & days, though he became partly paralysed from a silent cancer which suddenly became aggressive and palliative at stage 4, he prayed not for himself but always for others with his hands spread wide from his hospital bed, night and day, day and night.
We stood strong in faith and in our hearts we held the belief he was untouchable not matter how much pain and adversity he experienced.
We found ourselves taking for granted his continued presence as a given.
Now we live in the shock of his absence in our lives. The weight of his absence and the silence has made us understand the irreplaceable role Shane played in all our life.
Shane used to repeatedly say “carve the scriptures” in your heart. He equally is carved in our hearts, lives and memories forever.
He was a true fighter with a warrior spirit, reminiscent of Davids mighty men he so often preached about. Shane fashioned his life with the purity of the young David and in memorial to his life, we have inscribed on the headstone, 1 Samuel 13:14 “Yahuah has sought him a man after his own heart.” Shane taught us all how to “stand Strong,” which we are so grateful for, as we have had to draw on this strength without him, just to walk through this grief and get by.
Its still so raw and still feels unreal in some ways. Shane we miss you but will love you forever. Jesse, Rio, Storm & Dallas
Thank you to all who have stood and journeyed with us and who where equally grieved by this sudden challenge we faced. Shane loved those he came into relationship here and talked to the Father about you all all the time.
